Nike Thinks It's Better Than Snails and Turtles

I get what Nike was trying to do in these ads. They've attempted to show Nike as fast and all other shoes in the store as slow. The problem is, to me it kinda reads that Nike is equal to all the other things on the shelves, and itself slow. Also, how the hell does a shoe actually make you faster? Maybe Nike is developing rocket booster shoes.
