I took advantage of the day off today and checked out the Museum of Natural History in New York City. I'd never been, and was just curious as to what all they had hiding in there. First of all, it was President's Day, so the place was packed with kids and their parents. We checked out the space exhibits first, which were a bit boring. You can only look at rocks and meteors for so long (about 1 minute 5 seconds) before they start to get boring. Next we got into the animals, which were cool to see not only various species, but also how the museum recreated their habitats and scenes. But again, after a few rooms of this, they got repetitive and boring as well. Finally, we hit the dinosaur sections. It was cool to see fully assembled dinosaur fossils and they had a wide variety of them. Overall, I would say the Museum of Natural History is worth checking out, but not worth a lot of time or money. Hit it on a rainy day when you don't have much else going on and the place won't be crowded.
