This isn't the most recent news, but I wanted to post on it.The September 2006 issue of Playboy uses a creative back cover advertisement. The image on the back cover of the magazine is the reverse of the front cover, featuring the Girls Next Door. What might be lost to some Playboy readers, however, is that the back cover is in fact an advertisement for the Volkswagen Rabbit.
The only things that make it an ad is the mirrored headline 'The Volkswagen Rabbit. It's Back.' and a small rabbit tattoo on the small of one of the girl's backs. With no website shown and no image of a car in the ad, I wonder how effective it is and how it is being measured. I like it, though.
